That somewhat makes sense.

However, gambas3-scripter depends on gambas3-runtime which includes the gb.gui* packages. Is it possible to use those gb.gui* packages in a non- gui environment? I don't know because I've never tried.

Also, it seems the gb.gui* packages would depend on at least one of the GUI packages in gambas3-gui. But, I can't tell because they are not mentioned in the Package list chart (showing dependencies) at the bottom of the page linked above.



The 'gb.gui.*' packages are just packages that load the real GUI packages according to the current desktop, and abort if they cannot succeed in finding any GUI package suitable.

So there is no problem in installing them on a non GUI system. They have no required dependencies on any library (except 'libc').
