I see the the runtime package is supposed to include gb.gui* components. It seems to me that they should be included > in the gambas3-gui package, not the runtime package. > I have plenty cli applications that do sytem maintenance, data cleanup etc and are running on Debian servers as cron jobs on certain periods at night. Some depend on gb.db to connect to database for data cleanup, so little is needed to run them and certainly no gui components. They run on non-gui servers and when I install them no gui stuff is installed on my servers. Back in gambas 3.15.2 on Debian 11 I did the same, but with gambas from Debian repo's. I discovered it did pull in gui components and install them, it's that badly packaged. That's when I decided to pick up packaging again (last time was for Gambas 3.62, so imagine) and make my own, for one reason only, being that gambas runtime should not pull in gui stuff and it doesn't in my experience, not in my personal repo's and not on OSB repo. This is the way it should be and is. The gb.gui packages don't pull in any toolkits or gui stuff to my knowing or else above wouldn't be true. They are more of a select the proper toolkit component to my understanding and will probably take into account that there might be none. gbWilly GambOS Gambas3 for Debian/Ubuntu ...there is always a Catch if things go wrong!
