It does not really break backward compatibility, as nothing was promised 
about how the headers of the GridView look.

The backward compatibility is only for the public API, and programmers 
should not rely on non explicitly stated features even if they are 
visible. Think about the poor users of GTK+.

So many controls have been redesigned with the new paint methods of the 
'Style' class, and their apparence changed.

But anyway I understand the concern. After all, I have two hats, as 
Gambas language developer, and Gambas user too.

Maybe the user you talked about can explain exactly why he needs a 
specific look for its headers. I'm not against adding explicit color 
properties for that.
