It is just a choice between using the background color of the buttons 
from the theme (the old choice), or using the background color of the 
control slightly modified so that we see it's an header (the current 
one), or something else.

There is no real standard for that.

I think it's more logical (and nicer) that, if you specify a background 
color for the GridView control, that its headers try to follow it.

Do you have more details of what exactly annoy the user, and why the 
background color of the header is important for him?

I can make a property for defining the background color of the headers 
anyway.
