Finally, definitive evidence that https://pdfux.com/inspect-pdf/ can be used to determine if a PDF has embedded thumbnails.


@gbWilly, I uploaded both of Claus' PDFs to that site. I've attached two screenshots that plainly show that one does have 
"Thumb" references, and the other does not.

If you wish, you can upload "F16866_TUF_GAMING_B460-PLUS_UM_V2_WEB.pdf" to that site. It presents the information in a tree 
view. Just drill down until you get into the "Kids" Array (be aware that this file has a nested "Kids" array that you'll also 
need to expand). I did this, and this particular PDF has no "Thumb" references.

I hope this helps you have confidence that gb.poppler is behaving correctly.
