Of course, the PDF viewer generates all the thumbnails at startup, and it takes a long time!

The PDF viewer must be modified to be clever, and render the thumbnail only when needed.

Perfect,
I'm just wondering, is this our job, or could you add a function like GridView_Data(...)?
If it's our job, can you give me a hint on how to do it?

Again, the apps of gbWilly and mine are already doing this and its simple and reliable.

Quote out of the app of gbWilly:

  For iX = 0 To $hPdfFile.Max
    hThumbnail = $hPdfFile[iX].Thumbnail
    '--create thumbnail if no thumbnail found--
    If IsNull(hThumbnail) Then

   ....

Quote out of my app:

    For i = 0 To hDoc.Max
        hThumbnail = hDoc[i].Thumbnail            'Try reading embedded thumbnails first
        If IsNull(hThumbnail) Then

---

So what is the actual problem?

Best regards, Claus
