Still the form says nothing about the possibility to hit 'CTRL+ENTER'.

The shortcuts are documented in the IDE shortcuts help dialog.

This is not a replacement for a form that contains clear and understandable instructions on how to use it correctly.

I am an experienced programmer and the IDE is my daily tool. But I would never have thought that 'CTRL+ENTER' opens the tab with the search results. That's a very good idea, but it needs to be told to the user.

As soon as the hint "CTRL+F again to change location" is visible
(because the combobox has the focus) the form doesn't accept 'CTRL+F'.
That's awkward.

I don't understand that last paragraph. Can you elaborate?

When I open the IDE and then a project and then hit 'Ctrl-F' the search form shows up and it's TextBox where I can enter the search string (let's call it 'search field') is empty.

As soon as I click on the combobox where I can alter the search type the search field contains a grey text:

"Search ... CTRL+F again to change location"

But when I hit 'Ctrl-F' nothing happens.

Alles Gute
