When using MySQL connector with MariaDB I get the error after a very
long delay a popup windows says"Unable to connect to database, missing
connection type"

But after I close the window the database is open and displayed! but it
does not display the system tables when requested. sometimes it appears
to hang up a table or lock a table.

Has something changed and i am not updating my stuff correctly?

MariaDB is 10.11.14-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 on Ubuntu 24.04.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Just a question: Are you on the latest stable version or master?
And what exactly are you doing in the database when the connection error occurs, so I can do some testing. Are you using gb.db2 components or still on gb.db?

Curious as I run mariadb as well, but still on 3.19 using gb.db
I will be making teh move some day so, I can do some testing in a VM.

OK so the default IDE setting was to use gb.db, I changed the project to use gb.db2 and I am getting exactly the same error.

I am using gambas 3.22.1
