MYSQL connector issues

When using MySQL connector with MariaDB I get the error after a very 
long delay a popup windows says"Unable to connect to database, missing 
connection type"

But after I close the window the database is open and displayed! but it 
does not display the system tables when requested. sometimes it appears 
to hang up a table or lock a table.

Has something changed and i am not updating my stuff correctly?

MariaDB is 10.11.14-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 on Ubuntu 24.04.


Has anyone else had this issue?
