I'm very perplexed. I don't have a choice ( as far as I know ) as to what repositories my system is pointing to.
Software sources yes, official repositories, no. That's always been set by the system instance.
When I reviewed my downloads manager, you're right, it's set to Zara/jammy.I've followed the steps that you, GB and Bruce have described and have not had any success.
Ah, due for a rebuild anyway - a fresh start from the ground up may be the best option rather than running in circles.
See you on the other side. Ian. On 25/11/25 7:03 pm, gbWilly wrote:

At least I have a running version of Gambas now ;) "The following packages have unmet dependencies: libmysqlclient-dev : Depends: libmysqlclient21 (= 8.0.44-0ubuntu0.24.04.1) but 8.0.44-1ubuntu22.04 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages."You're repo is pointing to noble and tries to find 24.04 packages, but you are NOT on 24.04 (noble)! You are on 22.04 (jammy) as it can only provide 22.04 packages (clue is: but 8.0.44-1ubuntu22.04 is to be installed). That is what I read in your output. You are mistaking apples for pears, hence your stuff will not install. You need the 22.04 (jammy) repo. I suggest you do an apt-get purge gambas3 and next apt-get autoremove. After that make sure (if on 22.04) to adapt your gambas source reference to point to jammy. Linux Mint 21 and Ubuntu 22.04 need jammy repo. Next the usual update upgrade and install gambas3. gbWilly
