MEANS -> ubuntu22.04 repo is being used to pull in dependencies, hence jammy (not noble). You are NOT pulling Ubuntu packages from noble repo, but from jammy repo!!
What did you do, update from jammy to noble, as it seems you got all your repo sources mixed up?

What I read is:
-> Gambas repo is set to use noble
-> Ubuntu repo is set to use jammy

Check it..
Correct it...
And try again

It's impossible for me to think you're confused; if anything, it's just the opposite. If I said this, it's due to my poor command of the English language, and I apologize. 

Ian installed the Mint 22.2 (zara) Cinnamon distribution.
I suggested this:
Delete all the old Gambas3-related files: first, he must check that everything is clean of Gambas in the Update Manager: Edit menu > Software Sources in the PPA, Additional Repositories, and Authentication Keys tabs. 
Then follow gbWilly instructions to delete Gambas3.
So if Ian wants to have a working Gambas3, copy the commands from this page, knowing that Mint 22 depends on Ubuntu 24.04:

Do you think this is the correct procedure, or should it be done differently? 
If it is done differently, can you kindly explain how?
