I suggest you do an apt-get purge gambas3 and next apt-get autoremove.
After that make sure (if on 22.04) to adapt your gambas source reference to point to jammy.
Linux Mint 21 and Ubuntu 22.04 need jammy repo.
Next the usual update upgrade and install gambas3.

Dear Willy,

As you well know, you can read all the conversations here:
https://lists.gambas-basic.org/archive/user/
Ian installed Linux Mint 22.2 (Zara), which is derived from Ubuntu 24.04. Let's not confuse things further. I had already suggested to our friend that he get rid of all the old Gambas3, Repository, and Key, perhaps even the PPA (I had forgotten about that). Update the system and reinstall Gambas3 following the correct instructions and the correct Ubuntu (24.04).

To recap:

Delete all the old Gambas3 related files: first, he must check that everything is clean of Gambas in the Update Manager: Edit menu > Software Sources in the PPA, Additional Repositories, and Authentication Keys tabs.
Then follow your instructions to delete Gambas3.

So if you want to have a working Gambas3, copy the commands from this page, knowing that Mint 22 depends on Ubuntu 24.04:

I hope I was clear.

Regards
Gianluigi
