Indeed, I find no gb.qt5.webview component installed. A `pacman` query of the local package database also shows no gb.qt6.webview component installed; yet /usr/lib/gambas3/gb.qt6.webview.component (with a date of Sep. 6) exists along with its related library files and symbolic links. And, neither 'gambas3-gb-qt5-webview' nor 'gambas3-gb-qt6-webview' are available from the 'extra' repo. What am I missing about this? [Gambas 3.20.4]I'm the maintainer for the Archlinux package. Webview component is not available anymore with qt5, because qt5 webengine package will be removed sooner or later from the repository. From the qt5 webengine maintainer, webengine is not maintained upstream anymore, and is vulnerable. We have a qt6 component now, and should be prefered over qt5 one. I don't think current kde rely on qt5 ? you should prefer gui component for an automatic component selection. Regards, Laurent Carlier
Thank you, Laurent.I figured that perhaps the qt5 components were being phased out in favor of qt6. But, that doesn't explain why gambas3-gb-qt6-webview is not available in the repo.
And, no, KDE does not rely on Qt5; it defaults to Qt6. In that older project, I had to use qt5 as there were issues with the qt6 component at the time.
