I have similar issue, but this happens if I run an IDE with a gb.qt4 componen (with special condition in xfce4/xubuntu 16.04)

It's better if someone have this issue, he can try from virtual terminal : GB_GUI=gb.qt5 gambas3       (you should install all gb.qt5 components first)
and qt5 component can be default component for gambas IDE

and ...... this happens with "qt4 designer" application too, so Gambas not alone :)
