You're welcome. I got tired of doing it manually so I wrote a script. 
Mine's for Ubuntu 10.10, so you might want to search in Synaptic for 
"pixbuf dev" to see if the package is there but with a slightly 
different name. I don't know what gb components use it, but it's 
described as:

GDK Pixbuf library (development files)

The Gdk Pixbuf library provides:
  - Image loading and saving facilities.
  - Fast scaling and compositing of pixbufs.
  - Simple animation loading (ie. animated GIFs)

Could be used by gb.image or maybe the image-related form controls.
