Well, I've 'Slacked' it! Downloaded tar-1.13, compiled from sources made ln -s /usr/local/bin/tar /usr/bin/tar-1.13 ,and it works. One more thing: is autopackage a distribution-independent package? Is it possible to install the programs on every Linux with this package, if no other binary is available?
