As for this possible limitation of Gambas, I just created a class 
which was nothing but 26,000 PRINT statements in a _new sub (about 
1.4MB of source in one file), and instantiating that class whether 
inside or outside of the Gambas IDE caused a SIGSEGV before the 
9,763rd PRINT statement.  So something's going on there.
