[Gambas-user] Packages for Ubuntu / Feisty

Just a silly question for the Ubuntu fans:
why, instead of reinventing once again the wheel, didn't you use the
debianized sources from
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/source/gambas2and compile them in
your
mephis/ubuntu/knoppix/put_here_any_other_whatever_debian_based/cloned_distro?
You would have got deb binaries for your box that have been deeply tested
and would not get new problems that were fixed when doing debian gambas
packages first time, more than three years ago...
