I'm using SUSE 10.0.  But I think my problem was the header files were 
missing.  So I used YAST and added everything that had to do with SDL.  The 
compile now works (good learning experience).  But the CD example does not 
work.  Actually all I want is a beep.  So is there an example of a beep some 
where?
