Hi Charlie

 That's not a bug it's UNIX.  The "*.*" doesn't mean "All Files", it means all 
files that have zero or more characters before a "." and zero or more 
characters after a ".".  The correct expression is to use a "*".   This means 
give me all files with zero or more characters.  You might want to google 
about regular expressions for a more indepth explanation.
