Gambas 1.x programs use an interpreter called "/usr/bin/gbx", gambas 
2.x programs (currently versions 1.9.x) use an interpreter called 
"/usr/bin/gbx2".  Both interpreters (and their respective components) 
may be installed on the same machine simultaneously, and a gambas1 
app will require the gambas1 runtime, a gambas2 app will require the 
gambas2 runtime, etc., just as a vb4 program requires vb400run.dll, 
etc.  With modern distributions that have automatic package 
management, this should not be an issue for you at all.
