I mean no disrespect, but I had no more trouble building Gambas 0.57 under 
Mandrake (to make the RPM's) than I have with any previous version.  There 
are SuSE RPM's out there which must mean someone wrote a spec file for some 
version of Gambas under SuSE; maybe you should give that a try for some 
hints.  Or even try rebuilding my source RPM, adjusting the package names in 
Requires and BuildRequires as necessary.
