hi there,

five years ago i had a job with a company teaching young (~9 years 
old) kids how to program games using visual basic.  we did a 
frogger clone, a mario clone, a pacman clone, etc.

now i've got a friend with a ~9 year old son who i'd like to teach 
game programming to using free software.  gambas looks great, but 
i'm noticing there seems to be a lack of a canvas part that can be 
bitBlt'ed to, like in VB.  is this the case, or am i missing 
something?

if this is the case, i'm considering trying to add a canvas part. 
do you all have any guess at how difficult this would be?  is it 
just matter of calling out to the qt methods, or is it more 
involved?
