OK, I know, it's the GTK+3 CSS management triggered on a control as soon you define a specific background color, foreground color or font.

This was done previously in GTK+2 like in Qt, by custom methods.

This has been replaced in GTK+3 by a style sheet system like CSS. So much modern. And  s l o w . . .
