No, it's just that gb.qt does X11 calls even if it runs with the Wayland backend. On Fedora Wayland it is the default, on Ubuntu Wayland the default backend is xcb (X11), and so Gambas runs through X-Wayland.

The QT and GTK+ component must be window system agnostics, which is a huge job. I don't make X11 calls for my own pleasure. They are there because of problems in the QT and GTK+ toolkits.
