I want to read and write settings of my router which partially requires the router credentials. As I don't want to enter them each time required, I thought about storing them. Does it make sense to use the desktop key-ring for that ? If yes, how can I access it from Gambas? Initial attempts to use Desktop.Passwords failed and I couldn't find documentation about the virtual Passwords class yet.Best regards Claus
It's 'Desktop.Passwords'. To store a password: Desktop.Passwords[Key] = Password To retrieve a password: Password = Desktop.Passwords[Key]The key is local to your application, i.e. the application name is internally "added" (it's not exactly that) to the key.
It can fail for a lot of reason. On Gnome desktops, it relies on an external tool that is not necessarily installed on your system.
Which error do you get -exactly- ? -- Benoît Minisini.
