How to store credentials ?

I want to read and write settings of my router which partially requires 
the router credentials.

As I don't want to enter them each time required, I thought about 
storing them. Does it make sense to use the desktop key-ring for that ? 
If yes, how can I access it from Gambas? Initial attempts to use 
Desktop.Passwords failed and I couldn't find documentation about the 
virtual Passwords class yet.
