I didn't like the new site layout and it's various bugs,
like old posts not converted correctly, "new posts" count always wrong for

After Sholzy locked more than one discussion about it because he didn't
want to talk about it I got pissed of (because I had more to say but
couldn't because he'd locked the thread again!)
I thought it was rude (like holding your hand up to someone mid
conversation and stopping them) so i bitched at him.
Plus he was also sending me bitchy PMs behind the scenes moaning about my
opinions on the bugs (trying to control my behaviour where ii doesn't need
it).

So I made my own phpBB forum because i didn't like the bugs in his ;)

Sorry I don't mean to be a pain, there's no need to post anything here. I
can access the site to read posts if i want but i'm banned so can't log in,
join any discussions or offer any advice.
So if i'm on their ban list, fk em, they're on mine too ;)

I "WAS" useful to the forum, for a fair few years when Cogier ran it,
I'm probably still well in the lead on the new post point scoring thing as
it transferred over from the old site. i was giving points away by the
thousands just to help others catch up.

Any way now I'm having fun with a new forum of the classic phpBB flavour
plus my own tweaks :),
My forum has got the best online gb.highlightiing of them all :) :D  as
good as the wiki because it also directly uses gb.highlight :)
A few themes to choose from.
[gb] [/gb] does gambas code blocks
[gbr] [/gbr] prints code blocks you can run (like the old playground did
for the wiki)

I've even got installation helpers written in php integrated

I blame Charlie ;)  (but not seriously)
When he was giving up control of gambas one he first offered it to me, i
said yes but i was in a bit of a transitional time and too slow to get on
it (but I spent a lot of time thinking about what i might do)
So months later he ended up giving it back to those who ran it before him.
Then the site turned into something different (not just in look/function)
and I wished I had been quicker to grab it as i could have put my ideas
into practice.
I guess one thing led to another and the inevitable happened.
  now i can put my ides to good use again, for whatever it's worth :)
