At first, I wondered what the intended purpose of the script was. Now I understand.

I doubt a post-install script is run when a system's package manager installs a Gambas component, that is, unless each component 
package has a post-install script. Perhaps it might be better to have a "Update Desktop File" option on the Welcome screen or in 
the Tools menu.
