obs dependencies (suse)

I installed on opensuse
there was a conflict that one solution was to not install 2 qt6 updates
(iirc qt6-printhelper and qt6-webengine) was okay choosing that.

That's not the issue though
I noticed something in the suse install.. it downloaded a whole lot of
-devel files like it would if i was going to compile.

while downloading many -devel files and other things needed for compiling
from source i'm thinking , surely these are not needed for a binary
download/install ?

So wanted to ask if the dependencies are for just the binary package
install or are they still setup for the whole compiling process?
