Okay, so then, in practical use, what the Quilt format provides, that Native does not, is: 1. The ability to apply patches to the upstream source code (which we should not need), and 2. The ability to have build numbers which indicate a different build as opposed to a change in the upstream version number. And, any other differences may be inconsequential.
