If the wiki is on its own Linux server you can use haproxy, apache, 
nginx as a proxy between your web server in Gambas and incoming traffic 
(provided your server knows how to listen on another custom port). It 
will be more robust than trying to write it yourself.

In addition, you can use fail2ban coupled with this proxy server to 
temporarily block attackers automatically. There are ready-made fail2ban 
rules for this.
