I'm currently thinking about the simpler way of implementing compatibility between library versions.

Maybe the simpler would be modifying the name of the library so that it includes both its version and its maximum compatibility version.

Something like: 'library:<version max>:<version>.gambas'

That way, the interpreter and the IDE would just have to browse the different file names instead of just checking one, 
without having to open each library to check their maximum version.
