Hey Claus do you know there is also a gambas environment variable "GB_DESKTOP_PORTAL_ENABLED=0" to disable the portal in any program? 

So you do not have to modify any source code if you simply use that to override the setting.

Eg.

$ env GB_DESKTOP_PORTAL_ENABLED=0 gambas3

Maybe that will help?
