[Gambas-user] [Advanced][obscure][hopefully banal][probably stupid] Offline help on a local server

I have been trying to find a way to have the Gambas offline help to 
reside in a shared folder on our little network so that everyone here 
can use it and not have to do there own downloads to 
~/.local/share/gambas3/wiki

The target directory (on the local server) is /srv/gbshare/wiki

I have managed (somehow! DIIK how) to download it into that directory.

BUT the IDE does not seem to cope with me setting a symbolic link in 
~/.local/share/gambas3 to that directory. It crashes if I try to turn on 
offline help in the Gambas preferences dialog.

Anyone got any clues (before I start taking a sledgehammer to our local 
version of the IDE)
