Hi K,

I have tried this on the Raspberry Pi and I see what you mean. It does 
work though, it's just that you can't see what you are 'grabbing'! I'm 
not sure that I know a way out of this, as you say 'the lack of 
transparency issue hits again'.

However the rectangle can still be moved and resized which is what you 
requested.
