Yep, essentially it makes the query strings with odd chars easier to see 
and work with.
  I was trying to do some fancy bash quoting to get around this but I 
will give your Shell "psql blah bluh -c " & Shell$(sSql) a go.

(I didn't think Exec would work as the -c CLI option expects a quoted 
predicate and I thought that I'd still end up in the same command line 
mess.)
