Which begs the question, is that then a system thing and can be set somewhere else?

Like maybe in the environment a la:
LS_COLORS='rs=0:di=01;34:ln=01;3   ....

I did a 'set > set.out'

What I got is clearly a sign of abuse.

It's because the popup does not have the focus, so the selected item 
color is lighter...
