Of course: 'make install' triggers 'make', so with the root rights through sudo.

Please try to follow exactly what is depicted there: http://gambaswiki.org/wiki/install
in the Ubuntu section if you use an Ubuntu-based Mint.

And try to find the missing package relative to libdump, and install it.

I have successfully compiled and installed the last Gambas revision on Mint 17.1 64 bits with no problem.
