OK, I saw it. As you are not using KDE, that annoying color may come 
from the Qt4 configuration that should have been automatically generated.

Can you run the Qt4 configuration program to check the palette and show 
me what it is? On Ubuntu, you have to install the 'qt4-qtconfig' package 
and then run the 'qtconfig-qt4' program (ubuntu brain fuck...).
