Thanks for the vote of confidences, it is a real learning process for me.
One hope of mine is to get as much example code for new users to look at and to use, just not sure how to present it to them or a means of delivery for it. Gambas has a lot of documentation but something like this:
[ Process *=* ]  *SHELL*Command [  *WAIT* ] [  *FOR* { {  *READ* |  *INPUT* } | {  *WRITE* |  *OUTPUT* } } ] [  *AS*Name ]
means nothing to a new/ hobby programer but this does:
SHELL “killall conky” 
Users like me need to see example code to understand what is going on and some times it helps to see it in context with other code to see how it all works together.

it could just be me....
