That's true. Hm. Overridden is not overwritten/written over. Override 
means something more like ignoring in my perception of this word.

And again, it is not "writing" but "riding", kind of "arrogantly 
ignoring it", "not respecting it", something like that. But in German 
they use "schreiben".

"Overload" and "override" are not the same, though in some translations 
they both appear as "überladen". That's completely wrong.

So in most translations which I know this is done as "neu definiert", 
"redefiniert" or "überschrieben", and for most of the programmers the 
deeper meaning of "override" will be less important as long as it's 
clear what is meant ;-)
