That's perfectly fine.
Let me offer this plan of attack.
Test if it is between -90 and +90
multiply by 1,000,000 into an INTEGER
which chops all decimal digits to the right of the decimal point.
then if you need float, divide by 1,000,000.
But if you do that , don't be surprised for digits farther to the right
of the 6th decimal point because it's float.
