You can choose what you want: more speed and less memory or less speed 
and more memory.

If you cache it, it will take some time and memory to cache everything 
for the case it is destroyed by another window on top of it. If you need 
more speed or you want to save graphics memory, you can do without 
caching, but then there is the danger of losing parts of the picture.
