Same for me on Arch 32 bit:
Gambas 3 DOES compile and DOES create new projects XD

Now it's almost perfect... the only annoying thing is that icons of the
IDE seem not to respect the choice in the preferences: if I choose the
"gnome look" they continue to appear KDE-ish...
