I cannot reproduce the bug, so I guess it has been fixed since. Can you send 
me a full project, so that I can confirm? 

Anyway, I suggest using more recent packages of Gambas from Debian - Ubuntu 
seems to not be able to package recent versions of Gambas correctly, no idea 
why...
