Even if your howto is based upon the non-free version (I use the FreeNX svr) it helped me:
the beast is now talking!
(I took a glance @ SLC on googleearth: the lake is blurred, may be an SLC's Navy secret base
with aircraft-carriers & submarines ready to nuke Idaho?!)
