Perhaps you can take a look at Gl.BlendFunc() or Gl.AlphaTest() functions 
before ?

It's stable, but certainly incomplete but pretty complete for a "general use". 
It's maintain but i'm pretty busy in my job (an certainly for many month, at 
least till june/july)
