Well, there were some little bugs in import and export functions. But it is 
not related to your question. 

Actually *.mo files are updated the later as possible (because it could be an 
heavy process), i.e. when you change the current translation language, or 
when you close the translation dialog.

So when you import a file, only the displayed strings are modified. To 
generate the *.mo file and update the statistics, you must click on the save 
icon.

The little bugs will be fixed in the next revision.
