Right.  This was the end of the ./configure output:-


    THESE COMPONENTS ARE DISABLED:

    - gb.corba
    - gb.db.firebird
    - gb.db.mysql
    - gb.db.postgresql
    - gb.opengl
    - gb.qt    <-----
    - gb.sdl

I'm trying to figure out what configure didn't find.  It did build a 
lib/gb.qt.so component, but there must be something it didn't like.
